Anthony Edwards Leads Minnesota to Victory
The Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off an upset on Friday night, defeating the reigning NBA champion Denver Nuggets 114-106 in Denver.
Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 27 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 25 points and 12 rebounds. Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
The Timberwolves were in control for most of the game, leading by as many as 18 points in the second half. The Nuggets made a late run, but they couldn't quite complete the comeback.
The loss drops the Nuggets to 2-2 on the season, while the Timberwolves improve to 3-1.
